How can I prepare myself to pierce?
First, thoroughly wash both hands with soap and water. Before proceeding with the ear piercing, put on both of the disposable plastic gloves which are included in the kit. Cleanse the front and back of the earlobes with the enclosed Alcohol Prep Pads. One alcohol prep pad per each ear.
Second, mark the earlobes with the special Non-Toxic Surgical Marking Pen included with the kit. Make sure the dots are positioned at the desired piercing location.
How do I prepare the pre-loaded cartridges to pierce?
Begin by breaking the pair of ear piercing earrings into two individualized units by tearing in half at the perforation. Peel off the paper backing off of one of the sterilized plastic blisters. Remove the cartridge from the blister GENTLY by using your finger tips and pulling the cartridge out of the package, careful not to push the cartridge closed.
DO NOT SQUEEZE THE PIERCER TOGETHER UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO PIERCE THE EAR.
How do I properly position the cartridge on my ear to pierce?
Position the piercing cartridge at the intended spot SO the earring back is behind the earlobe and the piercing post is in front of the earlobe. Press gently to align piercing post to the mark on the ear. Make sure you are holding the cartridge ends on the bottom part of cartridge with both thumb and pointer finger.
- Firmly squeeze the piercing cartridge together all the way to the end until it goes no further.
- Keep it closed for two seconds then release completely.
- Now slide the cartridge STRAIGHT DOWN and AWAY from the earlobe. Now the piercing earring is inserted and the earring back is automatically attached. NO NEED TO ADJUST THE BACK CLASP AFTER PIERCING.
- Once you have pierced the ear, DISPOSE OF THE USED CARTRIDGE. Repeat the process for the other piercing, using the second piercing cartridge.
Does ear piercing hurt?
No. Our Simply Whispers ear piercing systems have been carefully designed to pierce ears virtually pain free. When performed properly, most people feel little or no discomfort.

How long does it take an ear piercing to heal?
From 6 to 8 weeks for pierced ear lobes. You should only switch into new earrings after the suggested healing period.
What can I do to help my ears heal?
Clean the piercing area with our Ear Care Solution Gel and rotate the piercing stud at least once a day. More frequent cleaning is necessary after excessive physical activity. Avoid touching the piercing area(s) whenever possible. Wash carefully your hands to prevent dirt and bacteria getting into new piercing before to touch it.
Is it safe to pierce infants and children?
Yes! All Simply Whispers ear piercing systems are safe for ears of any age. However, we recommend that parents wait until the first DPT vaccination is administered to a newborn and to consult with a pediatrician.

What is the daily aftercare procedure?
To ensure the newly pierced beautiful ears heal properly, please follow our recommended aftercare procedures:
Always wash your hands with soap and water before touching the ears.
Do not remove or replace the earrings from the earlobe for the entire healing period of 4 to 6 weeks.
Use the Ear Care Solution Gel provided at least 2 times a day for the first week. Apply a few drops to the front and back of the earlobe. After the healing period, use the solution for daily cleaning of the pierced ears and earrings.
Turn and rotate each earring with aftercare solution to promote maximum air circulation in the ear for a healthy and faster healing.
